I have finally gotten my human team. It has been a long time in coming. I had an interest in purchasing the team for a while now, but up to this point there had really been no reason. The new sculpt is so much better than all the other teams. I loved the mini's but there was no one to play. Now I have a reason. The Chaos Cup. Of course it will be attended by the best painters in the world, and I will be doing everything in my power to avoid at the least being shamed by them.
I have spent the last few days working on cleaning the models of their mold lines and flash. I have finished that on all save two, which are going to require some green stuff. I have primed what is done and have begun to try to base coat my first lineman. The Camera is out off commission right now so I can't provide pictures, but I will soon.
I am stepping out on a limb with this first one. I am trying something very very new for me. I have only had the chance to do some small experiments with the new techniques. I have primed everything in white. I am applying washes only the to the model, and keeping the paint very very thin. I do not have much in the way of color theory, so my shading and highlights may be a bit boring, but I am hoping for a very clean result. The first few experiments with the so called 'French' technique we both very successful, and abysmal. I believe though that with a big portion of my time spent on perfecting the base coat, then the rest should come along nicely. I hope 'the pushing and pulling of paint' works on this first model. It could be a new step for me.

Bloodbowl Project.
I have wanted to do a Human Bloodbowl team for quite a while now. The team sculpt is good and I think the upcoming Chaos cup would be a good time. I wanted to have a female model on my team as a catcher. I gave a Amazon model a serious working over. I removed most of the animal skull helmet she was wearing, and then removed the feather headdress, and replaced it with hair from green stuff. There is still some work to be done but I thought I would post a couple of pictures of before and afters. The first picture is of the back of the origional model. The rest are of the model after modification.

Cryx Bane Thralls
These are just two of the eight Bane Thralls that I painted. One is the Captain, and the other is a regular trooper.
